I recently got the chance to visit Ha Giang, the Northernmost province of Vietnam and it was absolutely breathtaking, one of the most beautiful and stunning places I have ever been to. The mountains, the rawness of the rock plateau, the flowers, the ever winding roads, it all combines to create a spectacular landscape.

I have always loved mountains. There’s just this feeling that I have whenever I get to be in the mountains. It is like experiencing life in the most primitive, raw and natural form. I feel so tiny surrounded by mountains. I feel so alive when I get to breathe the scent of trees and flowers around me.

It has never ceased to amaze me everytime I travel to a new place. Seeing gorgeous landscape, witnessing people’s way of life, experiencing new cultures is like an addiction to me, I can never have enough. Every time I come back after a trip, my feet are itchy for more, more of the dust, the wind, the wild.

This time in Ha Giang, there were moments I was completely speechless. The beauty of nature just dazzled me, the striking grandeur of the mountains boggled my mind, the complete silence around me was the purest sound I had experienced for a long time.

There were moments that my eyes went teary because I felt so strongly the power of nature, the root of human beings. I find it so hard to elaborate my emotions when I stood there in the wild and I felt so humble. I just wanted to stand there forever, immerse myself in that spectacularity of the Earth.

I left Ha Giang filled with emotions and a promise to myself, I will be back.
