I went to Laos a while ago for only a week but it was enough for this country to leave incredibly fond memories in my mind. Laos is just so peaceful, that is how I would describe it in one word.

Laos is somehow similar to Vietnam but there is something about it that is really relaxing. This nation is very well known for its temples and indeed, all the temple architectures here are stunning!

Not only do the temples have beautiful architecture and delicate carvings, they also have amazing paintings and decorations inside. There are also many statues of Bhuddas and others figures in the garden outside each temple.

I only visited Vientiane and Luang Prabang and I have to say I’ve fallen in love with Luang Prabang, Laos’ ancient capital. It is an incredibly gorgeous city and somehow reminds me of the ancient town of Hoi An in Vietnam.

And just about an hour drive from Luang Prabang, there is Kuang Si waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever visited. The water has this stunning green color and I just love it how it has layers and layers as we climb up to the top of the waterfall.

And in the evening, there is a night market on the old town of Luang Prabang, and a foodie like me was thrilled to see so many different types of great street food.

I can definitely see myself living in Luang Prabang and I really hope I would be able to make that come true one day!
