Hey there! My name is Hanh Lam (Lam Duc Hanh as in Vietnamese). I am a young Vietnamese woman with a passion for development work and social change, a desire to explore the world and a love for storytelling.

At 20, I dropped out of university and have been pursuing my own path ever since. For a few years, I worked on various development projects in Vietnam and India.

I really enjoy working on a grassroots level as I am able to work closely with local communities and get to know them on a personal level. I have been so fortunate to have met and worked with so many inspiring people from all walks of life, who have changed my perspective on things and shaped who I am.

Currently, I am a freelancer working on various projects remotely. This gives me the freedom and flexibility to travel and work on personal projects as well as pursue other interests.

As hobbies, I enjoy taking pictures, playing music, reading, writing, meditating. In person, I am very loud :) but I can be very quiet at times. I am tiny but I get super hyperactive sometimes, and I am a feminist!

About this blog

I created this blog as a personal platform where I can share thoughts on my work, travels and life; it is also a way for me to reflect on what I have learned and experienced.

Under Sustainable Developmentmy posts will be mostly focusing on Sustainable Development on a grassroots level with the aim to raise awareness of global issues but inspire local actions from individuals.

On The Road is all about my own experience, reflections, and stories while I am on the road. I am not going to write about tourist attractions or review hotels, restaurants, etc. Instead, I will focus on sustainable tourism and the benefits of traveling. I hope to motivate more people to travel and promote responsible traveling.

With A Mindful LifeI hope to inspire people to live different, more mindfully and meaningfully through writings on Zen, consciousness and topics alike.

I hope you find something interesting or inspiring here. This is not just a collection of my writing, a display of my thoughts and reflections but also a place where I express my opinions about things that matter to me.

Debates and discussions are more than welcome. Feel free to comment, share, tweet to me (@lamduchanh). You can also subscribe to receive updates on my latest posts or drop me a line here:
