A reflection of 2018

Saying goodbye to 2018 with a lot of reminiscences, scrambled thoughts and a bit of nostalgia, I welcome 2019 with many exciting opportunities and adventures await. For now, I will count down till the new year, cuddling up in my partner’s arms where I call home and looking forward to another precious year together.

Having a depression is like painting a retrospective painting. Sadness is slowly engulfing you into darkness. And loneliness is like a spotlight shining on only you. You don’t know how to escape the light nor the darkness. All you know is to curl up in your own arms and gradually disappear into your stormy mind.

The wind of raging thoughts sails your boat of self on the ocean of tears, through waves of pain, navigating you through mountains of memories and you just don’t know when it will end and how it will end. Will you wake up from this cage or will you just simply escape your own storm?
